SRF Ltd, through its CSR arm SRF Foundation received the ‘Aaj Tak Care Awards 2013 – Honoring excellence in CSR’ under the category of ‘Education’.
As a good corporate citizen SRF Ltd has raised above the mere business profitability objectives, has followed an integrated approach, displayed exemplary determination of sharing the benefits of growth with the society in general and enabling change in education sector in Mewat district, Haryana, facing neglect in particular; for designing and implementing self-sustainable programs, innovative collaborations, cluster approach in 47 government schools in 19 villages touching the lives of 16000 children, 5000 youths and 350 teachers; and hence striving towards inclusive and sustainable development with a society-centered purpose.
Education is the foundation for any nation’s advancement socially, economically and financially. It is through this medium and its advancement that we can build a stronger, economically robust and sustainable country. The Aaj Tak Care Awards under the Education category recognized the efforts of SRF Ltd towards this strategic and primary nation building sector.
The renowned jury panel was chaired by Mr. Gurucharan Das (Chairman of the Jury Meet, Author & Management Consultant), Prof. Dipankar Gupta (Noted Sociologist), Dr. Ashok Seth (Chairman-Cardiovascular Sciences & Cardiology Council, Fortis Group of Hospitals), Mr. Arun Kapur (Executive Director-Learn Today), Mr. Rajendra Singh (Environmentalist & Chairman-Tarun Bharat Sangh), Dr. Sandeep Pandey (Social Activist, National Alliance of People’s Movement NAPM) and Mr. Sandeep Chachra (Executive Director-Action Aid India) to decide upon the winners, in all the categories.
