Inauguration Ceremony of 4th Batch and Convocation of 3rd Batch of the Basic Electrician Training Program, Mewat Rural Vocational Programme

On 26th September 2013, under the collaboration of SRF Foundation & Schneider Electric India, the convocation of 3rd batch and launch of 4th batch of Basic Electrician Training Program (BETP) took place.   This collaboration was executed under Mewat Rural Vocational Skill Program in the year 2012. 29 successful students of  3rd batch, who are graduated were provided certificates  & they are now ready to explore the market through their skill sets.

At the same time, 30 students got registered and enrolled for the 4th batch. The event reached to the next milestone in the presence of Chief Guest Mr. R. Narsimhan Iyer, General Manager, Schneider Electric India Pvt. Ltd, Dr. Suresh Reddy, Director, SRF Foundation, Praveen Karn, Head MRVP, Naveen Lathar, Field Officer, SRF Foundation, Mewat and the other field staffs.

Dr.Reddy cited the example of previous students and motivated the newcomers to build a successful career through the help of the program, as the initiative aims to provide opportunity to unprivileged youth and gain sustainable employment. It’s a golden opportunity for them, who have not yet decided about their career to learn new skills and utilize it in their future prospective for the betterment of their own lives and society.

Altogether, BETP has trained 91 students so far, out of which, 73 students were successful and 45 of them are already earning their livelihoods in the same field. This next step of BETP shows the success story of previous batch and hope for the upcoming students to look forward in the shaping their career on the right path.
